In December, we wrapped up our 2010/11 fundraising campaign with the transfer of $90 000 to the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse Cancer Centre at RPA. This is a huge achievement and has been made possible through the selfless contributions of so many passionate believers in our cause. Thank you all!
The money we've raised is going towards the realisation of Australia's first fully integrated cancer centre - the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse at RPA. When its doors open in 2013 this place will represent the greatest leap forward in the treatment and prevention of all forms of cancer, affecting people of all ages. Lifehouse will be a place where patient care is at the centre of everything they do and by consolidating all the necessary aspects of treatment within a single world-class facility, will ease the burden on all cancer sufferers.
The wonderful people at Lifehouse believe in our mission of greater awareness and understanding of the unique issues affecting young adult cancer sufferers. We are proud to have made a contribution to the vision of the late Professor Chris O'Brien and so excited to see this centre take shape as it nears completion.
Please continue to support Lifehouse by making a tax deductible donation, here.
